Detroit Urban Intervention

The empty space of Detroit's riverfront north of the Renaissance Center begs to have an urban energy injected into it. Initial urban studies conceptually addressed the desire by creating  key links stretching back to the city center. The tectonic, architectural response was developed as a "Welcome Center" where the events and energy of other areas of Detroit could stretched to the riverfront.
