Barely a year after opening, the landlord of this store requested our client give the facade a facelift. The storefront did not pop against the surrounding airport, and did not reflect the quality of the products contained in the store. Restricted by existing construction, my proposal looked at ways to break the facade into smaller scale pieces. The first break was to use two distinctly different materials to create a black frame and inset focus. The black frame was internally broken down through the use of textured and polished granite. The inset focus is an area of metal tile of various sizes with indented display vitrines.
