Pod Hotel

For nearly five years I lead the architectural and graphic design for this startup company. A different design firm developed the room interior, but then left the project. ASL was left with the task of designing the common spaces, developing a branding strategy to win proposals and intrigue investors, and, ultimately, figuring out the construction of the pod units. Our solution was to build fiberglass molds working with boat builders and concept car manufacturers for the pods, and then face the units with a prefab wall system. I also helped to coordinate the digital effort of integrating smartphone capabilities and room control features.
